The Private Scientific Institution "Scientific and Research University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Law" is actively working to ensure an inclusive environment for employees and students. We strive to create equal access to education for persons with special educational needs in accordance with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education".
According to Article 1 of this Law, a person with special educational needs is considered a person with a disability who needs additional support to obtain higher education. Article 3 establishes the obligation of educational institutions to ensure equal access to education, in particular to create special conditions for persons with disabilities, taking into account their specific life activities.
Article 33 provides for the right of such persons to free provision of educational information in accessible formats using technologies adapted to their needs. In addition, Article 70 establishes that buildings, structures and premises of higher education institutions must comply with state building codes and accessibility standards. In accordance with these codes, the university works to adapt infrastructure, provide educational and rehabilitation support and implement accessible educational technologies to ensure a comfortable, safe and effective environment for persons with special educational needs.
